Abstract：The proposal of new quality productivity reflects the iterative upgrading of inefficient old quality productivity in the pursuit of quantitative production. This leap in productivity embodies new ideas for the development of China’s productive forces and a new trend in its economic development. In the new era， on the path of promoting China’s high-quality economic development， the new quality productivity， as an unprecedented new productivity concept， is extremely forward-looking and pioneering， and requires in-depth insights to understand and grasp. From the perspective of exploring “where the novelty lies， what gives rise to the novelty， and how to achieve the novelty”， the novelty of new-quality productivity lies in the new content within classical theories and the new paradigm that surpasses existing productivity. It is an actual necessity for unleashing new drivers of high-quality development， a proper measure for consolidating the foundation of the modern industrial system， and an inevitable countermeasure for shaping new international competitiveness. Its implementation paths ultimately point towards four “new” aspects： new growth drivers， new industries， new technologies， and new talents.
