Abstract:Building a modern economic system is a significant strategic deployment undertaken by our Party, reflecting a comprehensive consideration of the development of the Party and the nation as a whole. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China specifically proposed the goal of “building a modern economic system” by 2035. Currently, there are noticeable weaknesses and shortcomings in China in aspects such as dealing with external risks and challenges, promoting total factor productivity with new technologies, innovating structural allocation of resources, upgrading the industrial structure, and deeply integrating the real economy and the digital economy. Therefore, we should adhere to the problem-oriented approach, break through the obstacles in building a modern economic system, and accelerate the construction of a modern economic system through measures such as expanding diversified cooperation partners, shortening the misalignment cycle between technological progress and the growth of total factor productivity, optimizing the allocation of innovation resources, synchronously developing advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, and deepening the integration of the real economy and the digital economy.
