Abstract

From the perspective of Marxist World History Theory, the shift of national history to world history is an objective outcome of the development of productive forces and the expansion of worldwide communication. Nevertheless, the current evolution of world history has long been constrained by the logic of capital, manifested as an exploitative core-periphery structure, a risk-transfer model and the alienation of inter-state relations. The vision of building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind constitutes a theoretical transcendence and path‑breaking innovation over capital-dominated globalization. It reconstructs the global communication order based on the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, shifting the underlying logic of development from one‑sided profit-seeking to win-win outcomes. As a concrete practice of this vision, the Belt and Road Initiative follows a dialectical evolutionary trajectory of hard connectivity, soft connectivity and people-to-people bonds: it realizes cross-border integration of production systems through infrastructure and industrial networks, completes the institutional construction of international relations via institutional alignment and multilateral mechanisms, and ultimately consolidates value consensus and strengthens recognition of shared responsibilities, laying a solid foundation for advancing the building of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.
