Abstract

The Party’s work style is the image of the Party, and it bears on the survival of the Party. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has made great efforts to rectify “the Four Malfeasances” (formalism, bureaucratism, hedonism, and extravagance), and regarded resolutely opposing formalism and bureaucratism as an important political task, placing it in a prominent position. President Xi has delivered important speeches and made important instructions and directives on many occasions, forming Xi Jinping’s important expositions on combating formalism and bureaucratism. These important expositions profoundly reveal the manifestations, analyze the root causes, and put forward fundamental solutions to address formalism and bureaucratism. Studying and researching these important expositions is of great theoretical and practical significance for the broad number of Party members and cadres to recognize the harm of formalism and bureaucratism, consolidate the ideological and political foundation for overcoming them, and consciously abandon and resist formalism and bureaucratism.
