| Application and Prospect of Policy Simulation Research in Public Governance： A Bibliometric analysis on Core Literature in the Past 20 years |

Abstract Policy simulation， as a means of interdisciplinary research in the field of social sciences， has a significant influence on the discussion of contemporary public governance， especially the dynamic mechanism and prediction of policy. This paper gives a bibliometric analysis and comparison of the key literature of domestic and foreign policy simulation research in the past 20 years， thereby revealing its application trend and prospect in the field of public governance. The results show that policy simulation research mainly focuses on instrumental rationality， governance paradigm and decision support. Related topics and application fields are extensive， and the specific application methods tend to be diversified. Moreover， domestic and foreign research shows differences in tool selection and cognitive attitude. Policy simulation research provides strong support for domestic public decision-making support and research paradigm transformation. By referring to overseas experience， we can promote multidisciplinary integration research and construction of social science simulation laboratory， thus pushing forward the practical application of policy simulation to play a greater value in the future.
