Abstract The CPC’s view on people runs through the entire periods of the Party’?s leadership of the revolution， construction and reform of China. Its development process deeply reflects the logic of unity between rule-obeying and goal-reaching nature. The centennial development of the CPC’s view on people deeply reflects not only the Party’s rule of governance， the law of socialist construction and the law of the development of human society， but also the ultimate goal of the CPC to serve the people wholeheartedly， the basic standpoint of respecting and safeguarding the principal position of the people， the people-centered development thought and the Party’s original aspiration and mission. In embarking on a new journey to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way， to comprehensively promote the Party’s construction， we need to correctly grasp the internal unity between rule-obeying and goal-reaching nature of the CPC’s view on people， and adhere to and develop the Party’s view on people in the new era.
