Abstract:Democracy is the common value of all mankind. The whole-process people’s democracy is the latest expression of socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics. From the theoretical dimension, Marxist democratic theory and the democratic theory of the Communist Party of China form the theoretical basis of the whole-process people’s democracy. From the connotation dimension, the starting point and foothold of the whole-process people’s democracy is to safeguard the fundamental interests of the people, its political value pursuit is that people enjoy full democratic rights, and its inevitable demand is the whole process. From the value dimension, the whole-process people’s democracy, as an original contribution to the Marxist theory of democratic politics, further highlights the universality and authenticity of democracy, thus while meeting the needs of the people for a better political life, it improves the effectiveness of national governance, and contributes Chinese wisdom to the political civilization of mankind.
